Music technology! you gotta love it!!!! wey!

Wey Music!!!!! All about the tunage in the tune about! Just reflecting on the use of ICT when teaching music and as this is my specialist i thought i should stick some stuff up. ICT can be anything from using a cd recorder to record the childrens compositions to using start of the art sequencing software, the only thing you need to remember is to not let the technology get in the way of creativity! I dont really like the idea of super dooper music looper, ok its kinda fun and i can see children enjoying using it, but you have to make sure that the children arnt just playing around! It would be all to easy for the children to just muck around making tunes without really thinking about why there doing it! Just be warned people, ICT isn't always the way forward!

GeoCaching

Whatup g! Just got back from the old seminar mc'greminar and it was actually pretty cool. We were talking about the use of gps in enducation and its given me some really good ideas for things that i could do at school. The only downside i can see from this technology is that it will take a long time to set and activity up, if the school isn't already equiped with all the gear they need it will have a lot of setting up to do! P.S Geocaching? whats that all about? take up swimming!!!!!!

Previous Experience of ICT

Word up G-Funks! I have to admit that i have tried to use as much ICT as possible in the classroom. I'm a firm believer that the next generation of children are going to need to be computer literate in order to progress in life, and because of this i am constantly trying to look up new software to use. I think it is important to make sure that you dont loose the physical hands-on approach in the classroom, this is vital for childrens creativity. In this blog im hoping to add references to certain software that i feel could be useful in the classroom.
